Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the Ondo State governorship election held on November 16, 2024, defeating his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), by a wide margin.
The results, announced at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Akure, were declared by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Oluwatoyin Babalola.
Aiyedatiwa secured a total of 366,781 votes, triumphing over Ajayi, who garnered 117,845 votes.
The APC candidate won across all 18 local government areas in the state, cementing his dominance in the race.
