High Cost Of Living Results To Protest In Oyo State

As a result of the high cost of living, food inflation and the current economic hardship in Nigeria, a protest, on Monday, February 19, 2024, broke out in Oyo State, South-West Nigeria.

The protest took place in the Mokola area of Ibadan, the state capital, with placard-carrying youths in their droves chanting songs to drive home their points.

Some placards have inscriptions such as ‘End food hike and inflation’, ‘The poor are starving’, and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises’, among others.
