Following the resolve of the 16 former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers to resume sitting today, January 23, 2024, despite their sack by the Appeal Court, the Plateau State Police Command has beefed up security at the Assembly.
It was gathered that armed policemen were deployed to Old Government House Jos venue of the sitting as early as 5 am.
