Driving Against Traffic: Let Your Father Come And Rescue You, Useless Boy, Sanwo-Olu Tells Arrested Soldier

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, ordered the arrest of a soldier alongside some commercial motorcyclists for driving against traffic on the Lagos-Badagry expressway.

Sanwo-Olu decided while returning from Lagos State University, Ojo where he had gone to open a project sponsored by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.

On sighting the traffic offenders, the state governor stopped his convoy and went after the riders.

In the process, some riders ran and left their motorcycles and passengers, while some were arrested by the governor’s team.

The arrested military man had hinted to the governor’s security aides that he was a soldier, and this angered the governor who said, “That’s the more reason why I’m going to lock you up. I’m going to lock you up. Useless boy, you’re telling me you’re a soldier.

“Put him there; let your father come and rescue you. You’re telling me you are a soldier; that is the reason I am going to lock you up.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu equally confronted a female passenger, saying, “You people are the ones causing this. Maybe I should arrest two of you and put you in the guardroom.

“You are patronising Okada, and they are taking one way. Is it good? And they will hit you, and you die; they will say the government killed you.”
