‘Fubara Is Rivers Governor’ - Appeal Court

The election of the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has been affirmed.

It was affirmed on Tuesday by the Court of Appeal, Lagos.  

In a unanimous decision of the Appellate Court, the judgment of the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal, dismissing the four separate appeals initiated by Tonye Cole of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Beatrice Itubo of the Labour Party (LP), Innocent Ekwu of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), and Lulu Briggs Dumo of the Accord Party (AP), was also sustained.
