Barring any sudden change, the Supreme Court of Nigeria will on Thursday pass judgment in the cases of the Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi; the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Bola Tinubu.
The presidential candidate of the PDP and his LP counterpart had lodged appeals questioning the decision of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) that upheld the victory of Tinubu.
It would be recalled that a seven-member panel of the court, headed by Justice John Okoro, had heard the appeals on Monday and reserved judgment until a date to be communicated to parties.
Our correspondent learnt that the apex court has sent notices to parties to that effect.
