Subsidy Removal: Fast-track palliatives, intervention programmes, Tinubu directs NEC, NGF

The National Economic Council (NEC) led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, was on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, directed to commence the process of working on interventions to cushion the impact of subsidy removal on Nigerians.

The directive was issued by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Nigeria.

Addressing State House Correspondents, the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, who led the representatives of some major oil marketers on a courtesy visit to President Tinubu noted that the President's action has indicated his determination and courage to remove the hermorage that had bedevilled the country for decades.
