NBA To Presidency: 'Mandate Immediate Compliance With Supreme Court Judgment On Naira Redesign

 

President Muhammadu Buhari was today urged to immediately direct compliance with the terms of the orders made by the Supreme Court of Nigeria in its judgment delivered on March 3, 2023, in respect of the Naira redesign policy.

The charge came from the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, in a statement through its President, Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN.

According to Mikyau, “Whenever public confidence in the other arms of government begins to wane, the legal profession, in particular the judiciary, must rise to the occasion by delivering justice with such courage and precision to provide succour to the people.”
