•Distribute Palliatives To The Less Privileged

A non-profit-making organization known as Dignity in Democracy, DIDOR, in collaboration with The Asiwaju Support Group and Asiwaju  Prayer Foundation, has distributed food items worth millions of naira to over two hundred less privileged in the Imota area of Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The relief materials were distributed during a stakeholders' meeting on Friday.

The Chairman of the Foundation, Azeez Salam said that the essence of the program was to put a smile on the faces of the down-trodden-masses and the vulnerable individuals.

Salam who noted that the Foundation has its members spread across the thirty-six states of the federation, explained that the Foundation has been reaching out to the less privileged across the states for the past five years.

While congratulating the President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his victory in emerging as Nigeria's next president, Sallam called on Nigerians to support Tinubu to enable him take Nigeria to the promised land.

In a remark, the National and the Diaspora Coordinator, Mariam Shonibare said the program was targeted at giving succour to the less privileged, the aged, widows, and people living with a disability.

She noted that the DIDOR boss deemed it fit to give his widow's might to the selected poor masses who have been neglected in society.

Some beneficiaries present at the event expressed their gratitude towards the gesture and commended the DIDOR and Asiwaju Prayer Foundation for remembering them during this critical period.

The beneficiaries also expressed optimism that if other people in the society emulate the Foundation, the society would be better for it.
