All posts relating to politics and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have been removed from the Instagram page of the Nollywood mogul and the deputy governorship candidate of the PDP, Funke Akindele.
This development is coming hours after the 2023 governorship election result in Lagos State was made public, declaring the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the poll held on March 18, 2023.
Our correspondent who monitored Akindele's Instagram Page reports that the posts that are as of the time of filing this report visible on her page of 15.7 million followers were that of her film promotion and other personal posts.
It would be recalled that Akindele alongside her principal, Abdul-Azeez Adediran aka Jandor, were defeated by Sanwo-Olu in last Saturday's governorship contest.
Specifically, Sanwo-Olu polled a total of 762,134 votes to defeat his closest, Labour Party, LP Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and Dr Olajide Adediran of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
