As part of activities marking the Annual Tax Week 2023, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) Lagos and District Society, paid a visit to the Special Correctional Homes for Boys in Ikeja, Lagos.
The visit, which was led by the Chairman of the CITN, Lagos and District Society, Zaynab Abdulkareem, was an opportunity for the institute to show its support for the welfare of young boys who have found themselves on the wrong side of the law.
The visit aimed to provide support to the boys and help them to understand the importance of being law-abiding citizens.
During the visit, the CITN team engaged the boys in various activities, including talks on the importance of paying taxes and being responsible citizens. They also donated various items, including toiletries, books, and stationery, to the boys.
Speaking after the visit, the Chairman of the CITN, Lagos and District Society, Zaynab Abdulkareem, expressed her gratitude to the staff of the Special Correctional Homes for Boys for the opportunity to visit and interact with the boys.
