The Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mr. Drambi Vandi, who allegedly killed a Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem, on Christmas Day, on Monday told Justice I.O. Harrison of a Lagos High Court, TBS, that he never committed the offence.
This is because the suspected killer cop pleaded not guilty to a count charge of murder, contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, as made against him by the Lagos State Government, after being arraigned before the judge.
It would be recalled that Vandi, attached to the Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah, Lagos State, allegedly shot Omobolanle Raheem while she was returning from an outing with her family members on Christmas Day.
