'I Am Free From EFCC Custody' - Doyin Okupe

The former Director-General of the Labour Party(LP) Presidential Campaign Council, Doyin Okupe, on Thursday, January 12, 2023, revealed that he has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He stated this through a tweet. It would be recalled that Okupe was apprehended by the Department of State Services (DSS) at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

Specifically, the DSS through its spokesperson, Dr. Peter Afunanya, explained that Okupe was arrested at the instance of the EFCC and handed over to them.
