Documents Destroyed, As Fire Hits Kano Police Headquarters

The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), located at Bompai, Nasarawa Local Government Area, has been hit by fire, with several offices and files reportedly burnt to ashes.

Meanwhile, the state fire service revealed that it had since deployed assets to the scene to contain the fire on the one-storey building of the command.

A yet-to-be-confirmed report suggests that the entire upstairs were caught up in fire except for the office of the State Police Commissioner, Mamman Dauda, which is fortified.

As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the inferno could not be immediately verified.
