Omobolanle Raheem's Murder: 'Killer Cop, ASP Vandi To Remain In Prison Custody Until January 30'—Court

Mr. Drambi Vandi, the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), who allegedly shot and killed a Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem, in Lagos on Christmas Day, has been remanded at the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS), Ikoyi, Lagos.

ASP Vandi was remanded in prison by a Chief Magistrates' Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos, on Friday, until January 30, 2023, pending when the Office of the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), would have issued a piece of advice on the case,

The court arrived at the decision sequel to an application made by the Attorney-General of Lagos State and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN.

Vandi's remand was made public by the Lagos State Police Command's Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin, in a tweet on his official Twitter handle.

According to the PPRO, “Drambi Vandi was, this morning, arraigned in court and has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre until January 30, 2023, to give room for DPP advice.”
