Omobolanle Raheem's Killing: Killer Cop Faces Murder Charge

The Lagos State government on Friday initiated a count charge of murder against the Assistant Superintendent of Police Drambi Vandi for the alleged murder of Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem, a Lagos-based pregnant lawyer.

The murder charge was filed through the Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN, before a Yaba Chief Magistrates' Court, presided over by Chief Magistrate (Mrs.) C.A. Adedayo.

The charge reads: “That you ASP Drambi Vandi on the 25th day of December 2022, at Ajah Road, along the Lekki Expressway, Lagos, unlawfully killed one Omobolanle Raheem by shooting the deceased in the chest contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.”
