As Nigeria's digital payment ecosystem expands, there is a need for more creative ways to tackle associated vulnerabilities such as fraud. To solve this challenge, Africa’s leading Integrated payments, and digital commerce company, Interswitch has reaffirmed its commitment to continue protecting customers against digital payment fraud.
The fintech giant said it has designed products and solutions such as Interswitch-Security-as-a-Solution, Tokenisation, and Biometrics on PoS and ATM to ensure safe transactions and protect customers’ data and funds.
Thomas Ezeh, Regional Head (Abuja & North) at Interswitch shared these insights during the fourth edition in the series of Regional Breakfast Sessions which was held in Abuja.
He said, “The rise of digital fraud across the globe has been a major cause for concern for customers. For us at Interswitch, the protection of customers’ data and funds is paramount. Therefore, we continue to develop security products and solutions that will not only allay customers’ fear, but will also avail them faster and more convenient ways to make payments”.
He further added “These products were designed, taking into cognisance the unique needs of customers including banks, microfinance banks, fintechs, and other financial institutions. We strongly believe these solutions will avail customers of a personal and sophisticated experience.”
Ikechukwu Ugwu, Group Head, Growth Marketing (Enterprise Business) at Interswitch said the firm has organised the series of Regional Breakfast Sessions to deepen digital payments in the country, as well as introduce customers to world-class products that will transform their businesses.
He said, “Interswitch is committed to the advancement and penetration of digital payment in Nigeria and beyond, which explains the organisation of the series of Regional Breakfast Sessions to enable customers to get first-hand information about Interswitch products and solutions to enhance their businesses. It is no longer news that the deepened penetration of digital payments is helping to boost the Nigerian economy; therefore, we are not resting on our oars, but will continue to innovate solutions to strengthen the payments landscape”.
The Abuja event is the fourth location in the country where the Regional Breakfast Sessions have been held, after the series kicked off in Ibadan, Oyo State. The Lagos event, scheduled to hold on Thursday, the 1st of December, will be the final event in the series of sessions across the country.
The event ended on a high note as customers were awarded for their unwavering support for the company over the years.
