APC Headquarters In Abuja Taken Over By Police, Others

The national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Buhari House, in Abuja, was in the early hours of Wednesday taken over by security agents, comprising the Nigeria Police, and personnel of the Department of State Services (DSS) among others.

The taking over of the APC national secretariat by security agents had occupied the entire Blantyre streets, housing the ruling party, in preparation for the visit of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

Tinubu and Shettima, in the company of some members of the APC Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), will attend an ad hoc meeting with the party’s national leadership, and the National Working Committee (NWC) at the party’s secretariat.

It would be recalled that a memo issued by the ruling party had directed the majority of the party’s secretariat staff to stay out of the office today as part of the measures to control crowds.
