Terrorism: Oyo monarch, others to be arraigned in Abuja court today

Barring any last-minute change, an Oyo monarch, Oba Solomon Akinola, will today be arraigned before an Abuja Federal High Court on 12 counts that touch on terrorism.

Others slated to be arraigned with the king are High Chiefs Sunday Aderinto, Samson Ogunmola Timothy Adewale Aderinto, Jimoh Asimiyu, Segun Gbadebo, Oluwole Ogundeji, Akintaro Mathew Piamo, Rafiu Ganiyu, Adejare Adeleru and Zacheus Adeleru.

It would be recalled that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) had filed the terrorism charge against Oba Akinola before the court presided over by Justice Egwuatu Obiora.

The defendants, according to the charge seen by DAILY POST, had allegedly invaded Aagba Community in Oyo State and kidnapped three people in addition to inflicting various degrees of injuries on their victims.
