The Board of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (Eko DisCo) has confirmed Mrs Rekhiat Momoh as its substantive Chief Executive Officer, following her stellar performance as Acting CEO since March 2024.
Under Momoh’s leadership, the company achieved a significant reduction in Aggregated Technical, Commercial, and Collection (ATC&C) losses, from 30.87% in February 2024 to 10.51% in March 2024, and attained 100% collection efficiency on ₦38.7 billion by April 2025.
“These results reflect our confidence in Mrs Momoh’s leadership and commitment to operational excellence.
“Her disciplined approach to governance and customer-focused management aligns with our vision of building a sustainable and efficient distribution network,” said Mr Oritsedere Otubu, Chairman of Eko DisCo’s Board.
Eko DisCo’s transformation has also been driven by innovation. In October 2024, it introduced the All-in-One Customer Experience platform, which integrates billing, payment, and service requests into a single system, thereby enhancing transparency and customer satisfaction.
The innovation earned the firm the Best Customer Care (Electricity Distribution) award at the West Africa Innovation Awards.
Mrs Momoh’s outstanding leadership has been widely recognised. She was named Energy Times Power Sector CEO of the Year and listed among Nigeria’s Top 50 Performing CEOs.
With nearly three decades of industry experience, she brings deep institutional knowledge from NEPA, PHCN, and Eko DisCo.
