Dangote Cement Zambia has reaffirmed its leadership in corporate sustainability by securing three prestigious awards at the 6th National Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Sustainability Awards in Lusaka.
The awards, organized by CSR Network Zambia, recognize outstanding contributions to sustainable development and corporate responsibility.
At the ceremony held at Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Dangote Cement Zambia was honoured in three key categories: Food Security Initiative Award (Excellence in Agriculture), Best Waste Recycling Initiative Award (Environmental Sustainability), and Mental Healthcare Award (Excellence in the Workplace).
The event, themed “Driving Sustainable Impact through Innovation,” attracted over 60 major corporate organizations across Zambia, showcasing exemplary CSR and sustainability efforts.
CSR Network Zambia’s Executive Director, Lee Muzala, praised Dangote Cement Zambia’s contributions, highlighting its impact on agriculture, environmental conservation, and employee well-being.

Dangote Cement Zambia operates a 1.5 million tonnes per annum (Mta) integrated cement plant in Ndola, as part of the broader Dangote Cement Group, Africa’s largest cement producer.
With a total production capacity of 52.0 Mta across the continent, the company has established a strong presence in several African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, Senegal, and South Africa.
In Nigeria, Dangote Cement’s Obajana Plant in Kogi State stands as the largest in Africa, with a 16.25 Mta capacity across five production lines.
