‘Allegation Against PINL, Olu Of Warri, Baseless, Malicious’ — CODAFA

A group known as the Children of Drivers and Fishermen Association (CODAFA) has debunked the allegations levied against the Warri monarch, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse lll.

In a statement signed and made available by the National President of the Association, Romeo Diden and Secretary, Blessing Okotie, the duo described the allegations by the faceless group on the Pipeline Surveillance Contract awarded to Ogiame Atuwatse lll by the Federal Government (FG) as baseless, malicious and defaming aimed at bringing disrespect to the throne.

According to the statement, the group, the Niger Delta Stakeholders Forum (NDSF) is being sponsored and fed with a false accusation, that, Pipelines Infrastructures Nigeria Limited (PINL), owned by the Olu of Warri, does not have a workforce that commensurate with the contract; therefore, the monarch pockets billions of Naira.

The group alleged that “PINL is handling the largest pipelines surveillance contract in the region, without a workforce.

“The Olu handles over 80% of the surveillance contracts, while Tantita, owned by Tompolo handles less than 20%, and has a workforce of over 25,500 operatives and numerous subcontractors”.

Diden described the allegation against the monarch as a wicked act by some individuals to cause disaffection and division in the kingdom while describing it as dead on arrival

He advised those behind the accusation to desist from such acts and noted that the monarch had empowered plenty of people in the kingdom irrespective of tribes, including non-indigenes.
